Alice Osian reveals her debut E.P “Painkiller” | New Music

Alice Osian is an independent artist who hails from Santa Barbara, CA, but currently resides in the cultural hub of L.A – a city that has certainly helped shape her sound. Osian’s music is autobiographical, and she hopes, by writing about her innermost thoughts, feelings and experiences, that her audience can find solace within her music. Her previous song “Probably Too” has been lauded by fans and tastemakers alike.

Alice Osian is back with a striking new offering, coming in the form of an E.P entitled “Painkiller.” Throughout the album, it’s apparent that Osian is trying to merge and blend tranquil with heavy. Each track is textually diverse and immersive, with stripped back sections and anthemic, alternative rock choruses. Co-produced by Alice Osian and Caster Black, mixed by Derek Coburn ( Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Chelsea Wolfe) and mastered by Joe Lambert (Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten), “Painkiller” transports its listeners through vast stygian spaces dripping with distorted guitars, fractured synths, and cinematic drums, all underpinned by the singers luminous yet haunted vocals.

We, for one, cannot wait to see where she’ll take this.
