Willo are a singer-songwriting duo based in the French Pyrenees that are bringing something new to the folk genre. Cécile (vocals, guitar) and Olivier (composition, guitar, vocals) came together to create a Willo in 2016, and they’ve managed to create a signature sound that blends acoustic sound bliss with emotional vocal lines. Their unique sound can be heard on their acoustic version of track “As They Always Do.” 

‘As They Always Do’ speaks about the ups and downs between lovers. Acoustic guitars are understated, but also create a simple but effective rhythm that reverberates an infectious energy around the track. Olivier’s smokey vocals work hand in glove with Cécile’s divine backing vocals, forging a formidable partnership when paired with their emotionally written lyrics. 

Speaking about the track, they say: “This version of :As they Always do” is stripped down and recorded the way it was originally composed. It’s how the song looks in the morning, before coffee and make-up!”
